The Oregon Land Title Association (OLTA) takes the task of overseeing the welfare of the title industry in Oregon very seriously. Our work is directed by committees within the association comprised of agents and underwriters from across the state. The purpose of the membership is to promote and protect the common interests of its members, and those of the public, in facilitating the transfer of land ownership.
The Oregon Land Title Association has been advancing the value and professionalism of its members since 1908. The trade association vigorously works to protect and promote the public interest as well as encourage professional and personal growth within the Title Insurance industry.
The Oregon Land Title Association focuses its efforts on three primary areas:
- Education
- Legislation
- Communication

Oregon Land Title Association Membership Types:
Membership is open to individuals and companies involved in the production and evaluation of real estate title information, in escrow, closing, settlement services, and in affiliated professions, within the State of Oregon.
The Oregon Land Title Association offers the following membership levels:
Regular Membership
Any individual, firm, or company, regularly and generally engaged in the business of abstracting, certifying, or insuring titles to real property in the State of Oregon, is eligible to apply for Regular Membership, if such individual, firm, or company subscribes to the purposes of the Association, possesses the qualifications of the experience in such business, has financial responsibility, and operates and maintains a title plant meeting the requirements of the Association and the statutes and regulations of the State of Oregon.
Associate Membership
Any individual, firm, or company regularly and generally engaged in the business of abstracting. certifying, guaranteeing or insuring title to real property in any state other than Oregon is eligible to apply for Associate Membership, provided that said individual, firm, or company (a) is a member of the state title association in its home state, if there is such an association, and (b) is a member of the American Land Title Association.
Affiliate Membership
Any individual, firm, or company who subscribes to the purposes of the Association is eligible to apply for Affiliate Membership. Affiliate Members receive the newsletter of the Association and may attend the non-business sessions of the Association at its annual meeting. Affiliate Membership status is designed for the benefit of inter-industry education and communication on matters of common interest.
Honorary
This is a special category that is bestowed at the behest of the Board of Directors on the recommendation of the Membership Committee.
